Biography

Alex currently teaches business management at the University of North Florida and operates the company he founded, The Market Distillery.

His career spans across manufacturing, retail, and real estate. Previously, he worked for Georiga Pacific as a pricing analyst focused on B2B sales. Additionally, he worked at The Home Depot in a similar role, but with a focus on optimizing retail pricing for the Tools and Hardware department. He's spent the previous 8 years in real estate as a mortgage banker at Bank of England in Jacksonville, FL where his team helped over 900 families and generating over $200,000,000 in loan volume. These experiences have built him an expertise in professional selling and financial analysis.

Alex has spent the last 6 years analyzing the local real estate market and developing tools to help Realtors navigate the market and guide their clients. As part of this, he founded The Market Disitillery which is a research and consulting company designed to make the real estate market easier to understand through data analysis and visualization.

His passion for teaching led him to the formal classroom after years of training in the profesional world. An emphasis on applied knowledge, video, and experiential learning set his classes apart from others.

Alex was born in Durango, CO and grew up in Huntsville, AL. After starting his career in Atlanta at Georgia Pacific and The Home Depot, he moved to Jacksonville with his wife Katie.
